Session 1: Set for Safety
Take control of your of your digital world
In this session, students will become empowered to take control of their online safety. They will learn how to practise good security hygiene to protect against digital threats, understand the importance of building a positive online reputation, and discover the steps to take when facing online challenges. Student’s will also learn how the new social media age limits impact them.

- Who I am Online: Why establishing your reputation matters.
- Get Help: Know the steps to take if faced with online challenges.
Session 2: Digital Respect and Consent
Building a positive online identity.
In this session, students will dive into the critical aspects of respect, consent, and ethics in the digital age. Discover why seeking permission before posting matters, understand the legal implications of sharing sensitive content, and explore how AI tools influence our lives while considering the ethical and personal safety challenges they bring.

Session 3: Balancing Life and Tech
Creating a healthy digital lifestyle

They will learn how to navigate peer pressure in the digital world and gain practical strategies to recognise and manage tech addiction. Students will become upskilled with tools to stay in control and build a healthier relationship with the online world.

Parent Information Session
Parents are invited to join our Navigating the Digital Transition to Secondary School information session to understand the key challenges and trends their child will face online. Parents will gain practical tips, explore essential themes for safe online behaviour, and learn conversation starters to help support their child’s responsible digital journey as they enter secondary school.

More recently, Trent’s roles include Co-Founder of the Cyber Safety Project, Director of Collective Education Australia and working in partnership with the Education team at Microsoft Australia.

Sam is a primary school teacher whose advocacy for student leadership led him towards becoming a Co-Founder of the Cyber Safety Project. In 2017 Sam was the deserving recipient of the Deakin Community Award for his outstanding contributions to his local community (Deakin Electorate in Melbourne).
Kiah Allen
